The distressed colored leather, textured leather, fur/leather jackets, etc was all amazing!!!!!! Alexander Wang is always my go to designer for an incredibly crafted sweater and I cannot wait to get my hands on a few pieces from the runway! The half face mask paired with the outfits makes the looks all the more striking and evokes such emotion that I could only imagine what it must of felt like to actually be in the midst of the model’s walking down the runway!

If there is one trend that is here to stay for next Fall its leather and I am not complaining! I love two toned combinations of leather in this YSL collection and that many other designers are incorporating into their collections as well.
Will you be getting into the leather trend?

Guillaume Henry created such a great Spring collection. The leather harnesses over shirt dresses are genius! Hot pants are such a trend and his are really cool paired with high waisted crop tops or a suited look. All of Henry’s looks embody a youthfulness and were brightly colored which is perfect for Spring weather. A lot of looks had a nice added surprise, whether it was a lace inset, detachable collars, or cut outs above the bust which I adore. This designer is definitely one to watch…

I pulled a few of my favorite looks from the Pre Fall 12 collection. I love that teal colored coat and matching fur and how that color is carried through the some of the looks from the collection.

Rachel Zoe PF12 collection always reflects her image and that is one of the aspects of the line that intrigues me the most. She is very fond of the YSL era which there are apparent remnants of that line in her new collection. I love the tailored suits, the high slit dresses and skirts. The leather jacket with fur trim collar and wrists is AMAZE BALLS!

Every single look that graced the runway was striking! I was completely mesmerized by the play on texture, the color blocking, fur trim shades, and the statement BOOTS ON EVERY MODEL! I live for every look that Joan Smalls wore and the way her skin perfectly accented the tones of the garments. If you don’t know who she is you need to look her up, she was also in the Spring campaign for CHANEL which I’ve also posted about a little while ago. The way the boots fit with that tall cuff that stops right above the knee cap — all I could think was I need these boots for my sanity!!!!! The long black fitted leather gloves are everything and the coats that had leather sleeves is such a BIG trend this season that I am in love with.

It is undoubtedly my favorite Pre Fall 2012 collection thus far!

Super fun, flirty, and bright.
Derek Lam always gets it right when its time to dress for Spring. All of these looks I envision wearing while vacationing.

Alexander Wang is one of my favorite designers and this SS12 line is such a goodie. What I love about Wang is that a shirt from him is never just your average shirt. There will always be some added surprise that makes the shirt a bit irregular yet cool. I feel he always creates garments with a bit of androgyny which is what draws me to them. I really like how effortless the looks are and the contrast of light and dark in this collection. There are a few pieces that I would snatch from the runway looks… the leather jeans, tailored button down dress, and even the sweater with the tailored shirt detail!
