Alexander Wang is one of my favorite designers and this SS12 line is such a goodie. What I love about Wang is that a shirt from him is never just your average shirt. There will always be some added surprise that makes the shirt a bit irregular yet cool. I feel he always creates garments with a bit of androgyny which is what draws me to them. I really like how effortless the looks are and the contrast of light and dark in this collection. There are a few pieces that I would snatch from the runway looks… the leather jeans, tailored button down dress, and even the sweater with the tailored shirt detail!

Stella McCartney. Where do we begin? This collection is so strong with masculine references from the coats to the tailoring of the suits and yet feminine with her scalloped edge tops paired with high waisted skirts. Such an eclectic mix of prints and fabrics, Stella McCartney showed such versatility in her looks which really blended an impeccable collection for Pre Fall. It was playful, youthful, masculine, and sexy all in one which I don’t believe is very easy to transcend in one collection. I love the strapless bow top, the all black ensemble of the strapless belted top and matching skirt, the blue suit with the mini skirt, and the fur vest paired with the sweatsuit….basically the entire line lol.

I am always in awe of the showmanship and intricacy of the garments that Sarah Burton produces under the Alexander McQueen line. From the detail in the ruffles, face mask, and embellished shoes she really delivers in every aspect. I had to upload the complete show with all the looks so you all can experience his visual aesthetic which to me is unparalleled and incomparable to any other designer I’ve ever seen! As I sat and watched the show I thought to myself I need to be in the midst of this walking art one day. Hey a girl can dream, right?

When I think of Tom Ford I think of impeccable tailored clothing for men. So naturally when he announced that he would be launching a womenswear line I thought it would be nothing short of amazing and that his clothes for women will reflect the new modern woman that is chic, exuberant, and exudes an understated sexiness!
