Prabal Gurung is a designer that goes above and beyond everytime he designs a collection. He’s an artist in the most simple form that he takes fabrics and manipulates the texture and color which ultimately makes his garments wearable art. From the first look I was completely enamored and in awe of his workmanship. I really hope to one day see him debut his collection in person.
This is my favorite collection from New York Fashion Week hands down.

Never afraid to play with prints, Gwen Stephani is one of the few musicians that has developed a successful clothing line that makes you really want to wear her clothes. I’m obsessed with the beehive hair that the models are sporting with her bold looks!

This Thakoon collection was full of bright hues of red and pink with hints of black! Even the makeup was a simple palette with a pop of red on the lip which added to the fun looks that graced the runway. You can give me fur any day of the week and I’m sold and that’s exactly what Thakoon did ;)

Victoria Beckham has come such a long way from her days as Posh Spice in Spice Girls! Today she is a style maven that we look to really heighten the design elements that accentuate a feminine silhouette with her collections! I love the color blocked looks in neutral colors and belted knee length dresses!

If you’re not a fan of bold colors and printed patterns then you wouldn’t appreciate the design aesthetic of Diane Von Furstenburg! I loved the patent leather wrap jacket, draped jumpsuits, and printed knee length dresses. There is always the ease with the garments that DVF makes that leaves a woman fully covered yet still exuding so much sex appeal! She is one of a few designers that really knows how to dress many different shaped women and reaches a demographic that little girls and older women alike can love!

The distressed colored leather, textured leather, fur/leather jackets, etc was all amazing!!!!!! Alexander Wang is always my go to designer for an incredibly crafted sweater and I cannot wait to get my hands on a few pieces from the runway! The half face mask paired with the outfits makes the looks all the more striking and evokes such emotion that I could only imagine what it must of felt like to actually be in the midst of the model’s walking down the runway!

If there is one trend that is here to stay for next Fall its leather and I am not complaining! I love two toned combinations of leather in this YSL collection and that many other designers are incorporating into their collections as well.
