Took a moment to go to Long Island City in Queens and take in the view of the city on Saturday. Now it was quite brisk but I thought my distressed denim jacket was enough to accent my stripped knit dress from ASOS and comfy patent leather boots (seen here and here) for the walk from the car LOL. Long Island City is super cute dawning a pretty park – Gantry Plaza State Park to be exact with an AMAZING view of of the city. I could totally envision living in LIC, running along the pier, and then grabbing a coffee and sitting in the park area. Although that is wishful thinking giving the price point of this area, it is really nice to visit and enjoy a relaxing day with friends or family. I enjoyed walking along the pier and seeing remnants of old railways turned into gardens and looking out to the East side of Manhattan.
What I love most about places like Long Island City in NYC is that different boroughs have scenic areas that you can explore and experience different cuisines of various cultures which is largely attributed to New York City being a melting pot of ethnicities.
Where do you guys like to explore in the city? Let me know!
