DIY FASHION!
(Tie Dye Shorts with fraid edges embellished with studs)
There are so many inspired runway looks that are being sold in stores for mass consumers. However if you took just a little bit of time to try to recreate runway looks and do it yourself, you can save tons of money and design customized pieces to add to your wardrobe.
Whether you are crazed about the trending studs, floral patterns, or bejeweled denim collars adorned with earring clips to brooches, many of these looks can be achieved and look really chic with a few crafts!
Below are a few more looks that I’ve compiled and I’ve provided a few tips on how to recreate them in your own unique way!
(Elizabeth & James Ostrich Feather Blazer)
I love the mix of femininity and masculine essence of this E&J blazer. You can go to H&M or even thrifting and pic a blazer in the color of your choice and buy ostrich feather trim from a fabric store such as M&J trimming to achieve the same high end look as pictured above!
(DIY Christopher Kane jeans)
You can definitely find unique jeweled pieces like those pictured above in a crafts store to adorn your jeans. The placement of the jewels is totally your preference and can turn a pair of ordinary cuffed denim pants into the statement piece of a complete outfit!
(DIY Cheetah Print Shorts)
I love these shorts and the process because they look so fun to make. With simply the use of a stencil and spray paint on colored denim shorts, this is for sure a 1-2-3 step process!
(Tie Dye Denim Shirt)
I’m absolutely obsessed with the denim on denim trend! I love how this shirt pictured above is tie dyed and accented with bleach spotting to break up the monotony of the look! You can easily bleach half of the shirt and use a spray bottle filled with bleach to lightly spot the top of the denim shirt to achieve this look.
(Skull Shorts)
These are my favorite of all of the DIY pieces! I will definitely be taking a pair of shorts and etching out a skull head on them. I could envision wearing these shorts many ways in the summer and would definitely be a wardrobe staple in my closet!
